Lest We Forget - 25th April

I have been away from my site for a while now - so much going on. Here are a few layouts I have managed to pull together - planning to get some more done this long weekend.

The layout above was completed using the gorgeous Devonshire range from Kaiser. I love this photo of our little boo, taken 3 months ago at my cousins wedding.

The next layout is made using Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry range.

The next one is made from a range that is a bit of an oldie bit a goodie - Basic Grey Periphery.

The following layout was made with a a few different items - Creative Imaginations, 7 Gypsies and Jenni Bowlin Papers; Prima flowers; & Heidi Swapp letters.

The next layout was made using the Gypsy Sisters range.

This weekend is a long weekend for us here in Australia and New Zealand. The 25th of April is recognised as ANZAC day - every year around the two nations we attend dawn services and morning marches to pay tribute to those that fought in the wars to protect our nations.
This morning I attended my daughters school assembly where the children paid tribute to the ANZACs also. The children and invited guests sang and told stories of the tradition of the ANZACs and how their legend still goes onto today. The children sang about the great sacrifices these men and women made for all of us back home in Australia and New Zealand.
Today Australia and New Zealand still have a very strong bond where the borders between the countries only seem to be divided by the ocean that lies between us. In our small town of Newman, where there is a large percentage of New Zealanders, every day we see that example of mate ship where the Australians and Kiwis coexist and will always be there for another. I enjoy the dawn services in our town - it makes me feel proud to be an Aussie and sad that so many lives had to be taken so we could take for granted the freedom we have today.
On Sunday morning - I will definitely be there with the rise of the sun. An early morning to pay tribute to our soldiers is the least we can do for the ultimate sacrifices they made.
Lest we forget

New Forbbiden Love - Bo Bunny

I love cutsie papers and embellishments and I LOVE the new Bo Bunny range. I could not help but use as much of this as possible - and I still have more to go!

The layout above depicts our youngest girl to a tee - a very funny little girl. At 8 months here she was crawling around with a stubby cooler n her mouth. She wanted to get around quickly carrying things and figured maybe this was best way LOL.

For this layout i used absolutely everything Bo Bunny Forbidden Love.

The next layout was made using Kaiser bling, Creative Imaginations journal sticker and everything else Bo Bunny. This was Seekara at 16 months old.

Another Bo Bunny layout below. Everything on this page is also Bo Bunny.

The cards below were done in a class a few weeks back using Heidi Swapps Invisible papers - the affects with these papers come up fantastic - all you need is a little ink! There is still some Heidi Swapp papers left in store but be quick - they will not last long.
The last layout I wanted to share was made using papers from Sassafrass Lass and Websters; stickers from Sassafrass; chipboard button from Collections; and alphabets from Basic Grey.

Gone Wild!

Well fashion has gone a little wild again this year with lots of animal prints coming into the fashion scene again - so why not experiment with animal prints on your scrapbook pages. Anna Griffin makes that easy with her new range of papers used on the following layout. Check this range out at RTlicious.

The next layout was made using Nook and Pantry by Basic Grey.

I am still getting plenty of use form all my Sassafrass scraps to make room for all the NEW Sassafrass that arrived yesterday - so cant wait to play with them!
Below is a layout using some Prima paper - check out Rhondas blog for her spin on PRima - very nice! (see favourite sites on my blog).
The next layout was fun - I love Darters - they are my favourite bird. I used Kaiser papers, Kaiser stamps and some lovely Prima branches for this layout.
Better get some sleep before I turn into a pumpkin!

Kasier Off the page

Kasier have got some great products coming out lately. Even their packaging is awesome and reusable for storing flowers; rubons; buttons; brads and bling. Watch out over the next few months for some of the great off the page products that they are releasing. I love Kaiser off the page items because they are often very practical and useful also - not just dust collecting ornaments for around the house. RTlicious are hosting two classes coming up in March and April for two of these practical off the page solution - Kaiser drawers (created by RHonda) and a gorgeous birdhouse key holder (created by Jenyce). Our newsletter will be coming out over the next week with more information.
I personally cant wait for the other times kaiser are releasing in march to spruce up my desk... Watch this space.
I love making personal gifts for my friends birthdays and recently my friend Mel celebrated her 34th birthday (haha - sorry Mel). I made her a notebook so she could use for notes from one of the latest Kaiser Off the Page items - here is my sample. I wanted to make it quite simple so it lasts and being a teacher - she needs it to be practical. Hope you like it Mel!
For the notebook I used Kasier BTP notebook; Prima papers and Prima flowers. Rings by Kaiser. Letters by Basic Grey.

The following layout was using Kaiser papers. I also used the Cricut to cut out my diecut backgrounds. Also used was sewing; Kaiser and Prima flowers; Prima bling; and Websters cameo.

I love this next photo - taken last March on my Nan's birthday. This is my Nan with our two girls and Nan & Pop's great grand daughters. I love the bond my girls have with my grandparents. In this layout I used the Cuttlebug; Webster's papers and stickers; Bazzill cardstock; Kaiser paper; Kaiser and Prima flowers; October afternoon felt; and Prima pearls.

This layout was also used for Sketch 41 from Inspired Blue Prints. For more samples of the sketch see http://inspiredblueprints.ning.com/photo.

The layout below was used for the 6th RTlicious challenge - use a shape as an element on your page. For this page I used my Cricut to create the circles, Kasier papers; Bazzill card; Basic grey letters; K & Co stickers.

The next layout is my sample of Challenge 7 -create a layout using photos with no people. The layout was made using papers from Kaiser; pearls from Prima; diecuts and elements from Kaiser; flowers from Green Tara and chipboard from Twiddleybitz.

Have a lovely Valentine's Day!
