Well the challenge I gave myself in January to catch up on my albums isn't going so well - but I am getting there and still enjoying life in between family, house work, sports and work -  so that's all the matters.

Thought I would share a few digital layouts I have done lately.  I love using photos and putting them in a beautiful surrounding.  Digital is so much fun.

Overall I look at these and think of how different our tow girls are.  Cheekah so blonde and fair, hilarious but boisterous.  Seekara dark hair, warm heart and always wanting to help others.  I feel like it really show in these photos.

Love our girls

2012 Challenge to myself

With 2012 now here I have made myself a challenge - I must try and catch up with my albums! I am now more than 2 years behind in my layouts so this year I want to make sure that a weekend does not pass without completing a layout. I need to look for the simple layouts and just do them before I forget what I took the photos for in the first place.

I have so much Basic Grey in my stash at the moment and I really love the new paper kits but I cant justify buying any more until I use what I have got. So here is some more Basic Grey layouts in my efforts of trying to use all these papers up...

Tree Friend - Basic grey papers, transparencies, cardboard and stickers, kaiser flowers, Creative memories journalling diecut, fiskars border punch
Family - Basic grey papers, letters, cardboard and transparency, Bazzil card.

Stop Eating the Dog Food - I love this memory. Very Cheekah - up to mischief! Basic Grey papers, flowers, stickers, letters.
BHP Christmas party - family shoot 2009. Not a Basic grey layout. Websters papers, German scrap, prima flowers and pearls.

Grin - Prima flowers, Basic grey transparency and chipboard, bazill card, paper by Cherry Arte and Carolees Creations.

Menzies Classic coming up....

Well now that my founded passion is over for the season (triathlons don't start again until Sept) I have been keeping busy training and cycling with Eastern Goldfields Cycle Club. I am getting very excited. In a few weeks a group of us are heading to Menzies for the Menzies Classic, a road cycle event held every year in the Goldfields. This year it is said to be Australia's richest road race with a few elite cyclists headed our way. Cannot wait for the long weekend to come sooner. For more information head to the EGCC website... http://easterngoldfieldscycleclub.myclub.org.au/

Well the last triathlon race for the season was a lot of fun. I ended up completing my largest distance yet - the Short Olympic Distance event which is equivalent to the longer distance normal events. Gave me a bit of confidence that I am capable of doing these longer distances so I might give them a bit of a go towards the end of next season. Was happy to take minutes of my PB again. I set myself goals to go faster than before and was pleasantly surprised by what I achieved. My times are slow compared to nearly everyone else but I am happy with what I achieved - and really it is about racing yourself (well for me anyway :))

The highlight of the weekend was getting to meet and race with pro triathletes Kate Beluga and Guy Crawford. Kate spends half the year in Australia and the other half in the US racing and keeping up with sponsorship deals. Kate is an Ironman Champ and Guy is a short distance specialist - both legends in my eyes. They provided us with a presentation on their lives and nutrition and loads of inspiration. I was lucky enough to even get to time them in their distances for the pool - I could not get over Guy's swim - it was awesome. I was totally saturated by the end of it though despite being out of the pool - his turns are quite powerful. Kate seemed to have an awesome run on her too - was fantastic watching the competition over the weekend and the rivalry that Esperance tri club gave us - coming up for the day. The best part I loved of the whole day was just how nice Kate and Guy were - not only were they inspirational as sportsman but as people they were so friendly and helpful with anything you wanted to know. Had to show off my pic with Guy and Kate after race...

On the scrap booking front I have completed a few Websters pages I wanted to share...

Thanks for looking...
