All day Freestyle at Mia Mia

Yesterday we had an all day Freestyle at the Mia Mia. It was so much fun and we all got a heap done. Good company, good venue and the room was pumping with creativity. Thanks to everyone that came along for making it such a great day.
I made quite a few Fairies over the past few weeks using the gorgeous Fairies and Friends Cricut cartridge. The cartridge has five gorgeous fairies on it to make up and beautiful flowers, sayings and other embellishments on it. I have now decorated Seekara's room with the fairies. Got to say it is a lot cheaper than Wallies and you can make them how you like. For a boy theme there are also Cars cartridges and other Disney characters for children of all ages.On the layout front I have been busy pumping some layouts out for some papers we have coming out soon. Oh what a surprise - its another BASIC Grey layout below. you will love the new June Bug collection from Basic Grey. So so cute! Suitable for so many different layouts and projects too. I love this paper below from Kaiser craft. Very cute. I have also added some Rubons from Maya Road and Kaiser pearl strips.New Minds Eye collections in store now. They are so divine. And not just for girls either. There are some lovely boy papers coming out soon to suit boys of all ages. Stay tuned.... I have also used a Cuttlebug heart, Collections chipboard and butterfly, ribbon and Junebug paper in this layout.A bit of cardboard embellishment - cheap and easy. I love it. The paper is Melissa Frances and flowers were stamps from Lazar Paperwerx. I have painted the background and used ink and a wet brush to watercolour (as such) the flowers. I have also used Kaiser bling and ribbons on the layout below.New from Imaginisce - i love this paper and they have some cute blings to match. Very summery. Ribbon, brads, overlay and paint also used on this layout. A good way to use scraps! I scraplifted the layout below from an awesome layout i saw on Sisters in Style - one of my fave blog sites at the moment. It was actually really fun to do too. Adele (design team and good friend) also did an awesome layout using the same technique but she did her strips going the other way. It looked great. Another fun project of mine lately - I made some banners for the girls birthdays and have now put Cheekah's in her room. I used Collections chipboard banners, the Cricut (Storybook & Accent Essentials), glitter, Bazzil and some odd paper scraps to do this banner. I loved the end result and is perfect for putting in a child's room or a birthday banner for some one's birthday.
Anyway - hope you all have a great week. thanks for looking...

Another flat out week....

It has been another busy week in the RTlicious camp. We had another kids class this week with the kids completing some gorgeous pages. They loved playing with the Collections fences, trees and little chicks. My layout (above) was based on Rhonda's original layout from the first week of school holidays. For a peek at what some of the girls did check out http://www.rtlicious.ashop.com.au/g/25505/customer-gallery.html.
We completed the Wedding of Yesteryear layout on the weekend also. The girls had lots of fun completing the page and the layouts looked really good. I am especially proud of this layout, being my second published item in April's edition of Scrapbooking memories. The photo is my late Great great Aunt Vi, married in Kalgoorlie in the early 1900s. The photo was quite aged and ruined so I did a lot of work on it on Photoshop restoring it before printing it out in Sepia. I then sent a good copy to my Grandfather so her would have a fixed copy too.

The layout above was made using our new range of My Minds Eye - Bloom and Grow. They go very well with Hambly Screen Prints. A lot of people ask when they come into Rtlicious - "what do you do with screen prints or overlays?" The possibilities are endless... here is jsut one example above. The great thing about overlays is that it can break a page up but still allow your background to shine through. You will love the teal wallpaper overlays and pink overlays by hambly - new in RTlicious. Stay tuned for more new Mind's Eye coming out very soon so stay tuned....
We have these beautiful Kaiser Bohemian Threads papers in stock at the moment. They are quite fun and perfect for family layouts. Stay tuned for the new release of the gorgeous new Kaiser papers being released at RTlicious over the coming weeks - you are going to love them as much as we do.

Our monthly kits have been going crazy at the moment. We have had to put out new kits for upcoming months to keep ahead of you guys! The layout above is from the monthly challenge due September 15th. I love these Making memories paperie goodies. We have also added in some Glimmer chips from Tattered Angels. Cant wait to see all the gorgeous layouts. To vote for your favourite layout in the current challenge please check out http://www.rtlicious.ashop.com.au/g/25509/monthly-scrapbook-challenge.html and email us your favourite layout. Entries close end of July.
I would also like to congratulate Jenyce Lynn, Adele Waldorn Tracy Monaghan for being part of our 2009 RTlicious design team. I love the work by these talented ladies and can't wait to see what they produce. We have a lot of comments about the layouts produced by these girls so it is great to have them on our team.
Here's hoping with school back tomorrow things slow down just a little. Hope all the parents, teachers and kids had a great school holidays. Its back to business as normal tomorrow.
Have a great week

Birthday Galore

What a crazy fortnight it has been. Our daughters are 8 days apart in birthdays and with hubby on shift work the only way we could have parties for them both without clashing with Daddy's roster was to have them back to back. So we had a sleepover slumber party on the Sat night for 6 gorgeous 4 & 5 year old girls and the next morning we had our youngest daughter's 1st birthday bash. Everyone told us we were absolutely crazy but it actually worked out really well and we were surprised by how smoothly everything went. I think having an extra supportive hubby certainly helps get through all the cooking and setting up!

Of course I couldn't help myself but decorate madly. I made the lolly bags using Bags, Tags and More with the Cricut. I made my daughter's 1st birthday hat with some left over papers, flowers and of course bling and i made the girls each a name banner using the Collections banners. I just swapped the names over for the parties. Here are a few pics from our weekend.

And we had so much fun making the food - especially the cakes. I made my daughter a '5' cake for her actual birthday and lots of individual character cupcakes for bub's birthday. They were so much fun! Rhonda's daughter Renee is such a sweetie - she made Seekara an awesome barbie cake for her slumber party. The girls loved it.

On top of that Rhonda and I made a canvas for the Newman Mainstreet fundraising night which was an Arty Fart theme. We decided to make a 12 inch canvas with a Newman theme. We were really happy with the result and especially happy with the money it raised for the auction. Hubby and work even pitched in and made some things to donate. Darryl's chimera fetched an awesome amount for the auction. He was really pleased with it.

Now we can slow down a bit in the second week of school holidays. The mad birthday season is over and winter sports are drawing to a close. Looking forward to summer....
