Goodbye Newman!

Well we are on the move again. After 4 1/2 years in Newman we are moving on. It will be sad to leave Newman and the good friends we have made but good to go home to Kalgoorlie. Both sets of grandparents for the girls; my brother is still there; the place where both families return to visit; large community with shops, and lots to do; 4 hours from beautiful Esperance; a new home; new jobs and just in time for Seekara starting year one! We are pretty happy and can not wait for this next chapter of our lives.

We have one more week of work left. Then off to Malaysia for a family holiday - come back to Newman to pack up and then go! Fly out to Kalgoorlie on the 2nd December. Darryl and I will both start work together on the 6th December at BHP Billiton Nickel west Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter. Funny that we both worked there over ten years ago and this is where Darryl completed his apprenticeship. Looking forward to it.

On the scrap booking side of things I have some more layouts to share with a Kaiser theme....

Spring in Newman

Normally this time of year is already nice and warm in Newman but we have had some weird weather - we re still have temperatures in our 20s. That may sound normal for some people but it is cold for Newman. Definitely not complaining though because I know when it gets hot it is certainly going to stay that way for some time.

SO what better way to pass a day than spending time with the family and getting a bit of scrapping done. Here are some recent layouts... Snaps form the Australian War Memorial - using Webster's products.
Above: On top of parliament house - using Cosmo Cricket and flowers from Prima and Green Tara.

Below: I love this photo of Kya and Seekara. They seem to be in their own little world. Products used are from Basic Grey and Kaiser rubons.

Above: Cute photo of Cheekah using products Prima, Green Tara and Bazzill Basics.
Below: I love this paper range from Sassafrass lass - wonderful and bright. I thought it would be perfect for my daughter 5th birthday page.

Time to get some scrapping done. Enjoy the wildflowers

On the scrapping front - here are a few of my recent layouts:

PS Today is election day in Australia - I am crossing my fingers for a Liberal Party win but not liking my chances. one thing is for certain - by tomorrow morning we will have a NEWLY elected Prime Minister of Australia.

Happy Birthday to our darling girls

The first few weeks of July is busy in our household. Our girls have their birthdays 8 days apart and this year it was Daughter #1 turning 6 and our baby girl turning 2. I had lots of fun this year making their cakes too (thanks to Woman's Weekly for making it even easier...and of course the Thermomix!).

Here are our girls on their birthdays...Oops - I forgot to get candles! SO we used last years candles - after all 5+1=6!

I actually remembered candles for Cheekah's birthday.

And here is some more layouts to share:

Below is a layout completed using papers from the Basic Grey Max and Whiskers Range. I also used a Fiskars punch, miscellaneous buttons and my Cricut for the paper flowers.
This next layout was put together using Cosmo Crickets paper; & Sassafrass letters and stickers.

The last layout I have to share is a nice quick and easy one of Parliament house. I used paper from KI Memories & My Minds Eye; letters by Prima; Twiddleybitz dies; rubon by Creative Imaginations; Kaiser flowers and Prima bling.
