Another festival been and gone

I hope all the Newman locals enjoyed themselves at the Fortescue festivals events over the weekend. We had a lovely time. The crowds seemed to be down a lot this year but it was still a great day and lovely weather. It was great to meet some new faces and see some our lovely customers also.

The Arts & Crafts Exhibition, hosted by the Newman Neighbourhood Centre, was lovely to look at again this year. This event is run every two years and is full of all types of artwork from drawing, ceramics, quilting, woodwork, paper crafts and cooking. it is always great to see so many people getting involved to make it a fantastic event.

Above: Hubby Darryl gets right into tasting the flavours of the food entered in the festival as part of judging.

Below: Some of the children's artwork entered in the Arts & Crafts festival. The twelve inch canvas painting with the little girl is Seekara's painting. She put a lot of thought into her painting. The little girl was her sister Cheekah and the red bird is a rooster flying in the sky - quite an imagination our little girl has.

I had my grandparents here for the weekend so it was lovely for them to come up. They had never been to Newman before and were pretty blown away I think by how lovely our little town is. We are very lucky to live in such a lovely place. Photo below - Nan & Pop with our girls on Radio Hill, overlooking our beautiful town.

Here are a few new layouts I have been working on.

Fun in the Sun layout above: Paper - Bazzill & Kaiser; embellishments - Basic Grey chipboard stickers and rubons, Cricut - Life is a Beach cartridge.

Lots of different background mediums and techniques were used to create the pieces of this little house.

Previous layout above created using Porcelain Basic Grey papers; Bazzill paper; Basic Grey stickers and alphabet; Kaiser pearls, Collections chipboard. Cards above made using the funky Imaginisce range. the paper is embossed with cute little thongs and ice creams.
The weather here is starting to warm up. It is predicted to be 30 degrees here today - beautiful. Hope you all are enjoying the sunshine.
