Windup Season

I have had quite a busy week this week. This is the season for grand finals and winter sports windups and this week we had 3 of them. Seekara had her disco for the U7 soccer girls on Friday night which was really cute and the girls had so much fun. I have decided to never ever complain about my girls screaming again though after hearing 40+ under 7 aged girls in one hall. Very funny. The event was really well organised and they were all given trophies that looked like bobble heads with bendable arms and legs.... so cute! The girl on the trophy looked like the girl from Bo Buddies on Playhouse Disney! Here are my girls boogieing at the disco!

Later that night Darryl also had his Veteran AFL windup. The theme was a 70s night. He said it was a great night. Unfortunately he didn't dress up though as we had a party to go to afterwards too.

Sat night was my turn for the Pioneers Netball windup. I was so scared about this one. I knew it might be a tad messy. We were private agents and had to enter the clubroom's with a disguise and a mandatory footy jumper. Unfortunately i do not own a footy jumper as such of my beloved West Coast Eagles so I made my hubby's day and wore his damn Magpies jumper. Here is a pic of Amy (our niece) and I ready for the party. I pray to God that no pics turn up of us during the party! There were relays, lots of dancing, lots of alcohol and guys dressed up as netball players serving us! We even had musical chairs which I managed to get down to the last three in. Very good night.

I hope all you AFL fans out there enjoyed the final round of the season proper. I am a huge Eagles supporter and have been really impressed with the last part of the Eagles season. I am crossing my fingers for them in 2010. My husband is a mad Collingwood supporter - and yes all Collingwood supporters are crazy! He is pretty happy with them being in the finals and we certainly will be supporting them in their finals campaign - Go Collingwood! Being a bit of a state patriot I have a soft spot for the Magpies anyway with quite a few talented WA boys in the team.

Now on the scrapping scene... I still managed to get a bit done this week. We have been very busy in store and we even managed to put together some more kits. Make sure you check out our kits online for sale. $15 and fantastic value! The layout below is an example of one of the kits being used. This layout was made using the Kaiser range of Child's Play papers and rubons. I have also used Kaiser felt, glimmer mist, Collections chipboard and Making memories alphabets in this layout.

As you may be able to tell, I have been working on Cheekah's album to try and get up to date. I am now only ten months behind which is pretty scary for a lot of people but then it gives me the flexibility to match my hundreds of photos with the latest papers, which I really like. This layout, below, was made using papers from My Little Shoebox & Bazzil; chipboard, felt embellishment, stickers and alphabets from Basic Grey; word sticker from K & Co.

The photo in the layout above was taken by hubby - Darryl. I don't know whether Cheekah is more scared by the Magpies hat on her head or the camera. She has always been fascinated with Daddy's Magpies hats though. I created this page using papers from My Little Shoebox, Basic Grey (Junebug) & Bazzil; alphabet stickers by Basic Grey and other embellishment stickers are by Sassafras Lass - Love these stickers! The embellishments from Sassafras makes completing layouts so easy and they are so bright and funky too! I used one of my favourite products at the moment also on my layout - Tim Holtz Crackle in clear. Love the dimension and cracked glass effect it adds.
This is Cheekah, above, at three months old exactly. This is the day she rolled over. SO cute. On this page I have used paper from Sassafras & Bazzil; ribbon from Websters (beautiful ribbon!) Chipboard embellishemnts & Stickers from Basic Grey Lemonade, paper flowersfrom Kaiser; and crocheted flower from My Minds Eye.

This photo on the layout was taken on the same day. I have used sewing around the layout as well papers from Basic Grey, My Minds Eye and Sassafras, Stickers from Basic Grey and Creative Imaginations; letters from Basic Grey and pearls from Kaiser.
Hopefully this week is going to be a lot quieter, although we do have the primary school athletics carnival which we are all looking forward to - should be fun!
Hope you all have a great week.
