Newman Chamber Commerce Small Business Awards - 2009

This last week I have not been pumping out as many as I have been quite busy. This time of year is always crazy - as I am sure it is for many of you with end of year windups all starting to happen - at once!

On Saturday night, Rhonda and I (RTlicious) attended the Newman Chamber Commerce Small Business Awards. It was a successful night for the Chamber at large and was a fantastic and fun event. I really urge all Newman businesses to get behind their chamber and support it.

Rhonda and I were honoured to present the Small Business Award for the Home Based Business to the successful winners in 2009 to Pilbara Entertainment. They do a fantastic job and it was thoroughly deserved. Well done also to all of the Small Business & other Chamber divisions award winners and nominees for 2009. RTlicious was very grateful for our nomination this year in the Home Based . Pictured below - R & I receiving our nomination certificate - what wallies we are!

Okay okay - enough babble I hear you say...

So what is happening at RTlicious this week - please come in and check out our HUGE sale. We have 50% of a large range of. It is only from Wed - Fri and any discounts will be honoured through processing of orders through the internet also. The table is jam packed with stuff we want to clear so make sure you pop in!

We are also in the process of making some wonderful new kits up because we know you LOVE kits! So watch out on the web for those.

Also - we have lost a design team member this week in Tracy Monaghan as she returns to her homeland of NZ:(((((( We wish Tracy all the very best for her and her family and we promise to still stay in touch and keep a close eye on your blog spot. We love your work GIRL! We have now gained a design team member also in Renae Smith. Renae is an awesome scrapbooker and we love the fact that she has so many BOY pages for something a little different (contrasting to my many GIRL pages). Check out Renae's wonderful work on her blog site (http://renaesmiths.blogspot.com).

We have also got some gorgeous papers and embellishments in from Little Yellow Bicycle's Zinnia range. These are divine. See below for a few samples.

This layout was made using the Little Yellow Bicycle Zinnia range of laced card stock; bling; clear embellishments and stickers. I also used Kaiser and Jenni Bowlin papers and a Fiskars border punch. The photo was taken last Sept of my best bud Mel and her man Brian,with Seekara, in Karratha.

The layout below was made using papers from Little Yellow Bicycle & Webster's; chipboard from Twiddleybitz; flowers from Kaiser; bling from LYB; clear and sticker embellishments from LYB & Webster's; buttons from Webster's; and the clear quote from DCWV. Trimming was from Making Memories also. The photo in this layout was taken Dec 2008 and unfortunately was the best photo I could get of Cheekah in her Christening dress. It was a 40 plus day and she just wanted that big dress off!!!!

Again I have gone Sassafrass mad. I love love love this range and how it suits just about anything fun!

The layout below was made using papers from Sassafras and Little Yellow Bicycle; rubons from Basic Grey; felt from Blue Eye Dezines; brads from Creative imaginations; felt creature and premade flowers from Sassafras; bling from Kaiser; journal tag from Making Memories; & small letters from Carolee's Creations. Photo taken of Cheekah in Dec 2008.

The next layout is made using papers from Sassafras & Bazzil; chipboard from Sassafras;
flowers from Sassafras and Kaiser; and bling from kaiser. The photo was taken of Cheekah in Jan 2009. Time to get some of those layouts ready for the new kits this week.
